Video exchanges

I have now made a new video in exchange for a meal a day at Chancham in Reading, (it serves fresh food and sandwiches)  for a month, its a great deal as they get a cool video and I get to eat nice healthy meals, the video is just being fine tuned but it is on its way.

 Now it has been going slowly or not at all this video exchange idea, but I will keep you informed of any new video exchanges if and when they come. In the mean time the video above will explain more about  my exchanges, it will also go into some failed video attempts, they were with St Ives bay holiday Park and the Sevlor moorea canoe, I contacted them both about videos I had made for them which have both had a lot of views on youtube but they didn't see the benefit of giving me a free holiday or new Canoe, maybe it was because I had already uploaded the video, so the promotion had worked for them, it could be best to show them the video before it is put up. I think these exchanges need to be well thought out before hand, but still many lessons have been learnt.

I must just tell you a history lesson, well a years history.
I was on a Canoeing holiday and I was filming my trip to make a beautiful documentary on the story, but as many things in life there was no story nothing popped up.

6 months passed and went and I watched though the video footage and decided to make it into an example of a promotional video for the canoe company so maybe they would pay me to make a new one, but who pays for a new and better video you have just been given you a free and crappy one? They emailed to say that they couldn't afford to pay for a new video but would give me a free holiday this year, thus an idea came to my small and beleaguered mind.

This had got me started, I had always wanted to become a fencer, fencing is good and more importantly when I was 14 I went to Skegness Butlins (holiday resort in England)and whilst going on slides into swimming pools I came across fencing and guess what I beat a few people. Now I have never beaten anyone in sports, CJ Willings my gym teacher passionately hated me, so it was quite a shock when I beat someone.


20 years later why don't I phone up and email a fencing club in London and ask them in exchange for a video I could have a years classes?

You see people in this dark recession dont like paying for things but an extra member in a class whats the difference..

Well the people turned out to be all lovely people and the below video is the finished result, I recomend the fencing group, its full of jolly people and of course highly skilled.





The conclusion
So it worked, but could I live off this way of life, fencing isn't soup or pasta, how does one live..
That's what I'm here to find out baby! I hope it works, it would be mildly pleasant

OK So it's taken a while but I have stepped into the ring of exchanges again this time I have made the video first and if Clipper Green Tea like it they may give me some thing in exchange, I do love Clipper Green tea so it's authentic, take a look!
